Masheed and Apu. Taken in front of University Sains Malaysia which is in Penang. Masheed's father used to work there during the time she was born. She got a chance to visit Penang, her birthplace during the last Eid vacation (Nov, 2005).

This powerpack duo is one of the luckiest couple in the world and obviously from our batch. How come on earth they both got their places across two side by side villages (considering the distance between singapore and malaysia, it can be called 'village' in this global village) i still don't understand. Never mind, its good to see them able to be together often even away from Bangladesh and continuing their own advetures of life.

This picture is taken from Orchard Road. And we use 'lah' as a unique singaporean term to add our own flavour to english language (and its then called Singlish along with other modifications). Another example is, 'already' pronounced as 'oready'.

Masheed with her (mostly) Indian friends. It was on 15th July (yes u guessed it right, it was her birthday). The venue was interesting, its called Chijmes, a Church turned into Restaurant/Bar/Shops. We were at the court yard of the Church. In the picture from left, Sachin, Sazid, Mash, Tina and Pankaj.

If you are wonderfing where are Sadiq and Arifeen... we were there but was busy taking pics. It was nice party !! After inter-racial adda at Mash's place we came back home around 3 am in the morning. Oh, i almost forgot.. the cake was superb !

The cricket match @ the BUET Archi. We were suppose to have a match in front of the auditoriam, but suddenly a lot of car started to rush in as soon as we warmed up for the match. So the venue had to be shifted and it was rescheduled in front of Archi.

But there we had a mamu (darowan) who told us not to play there (VC sir er naki maana) ... but we convinced him somehow with mishti (from Sharif) and some sweet talk (from Munad, Shourav) and hey presto !! we could play there. We also learned from another sernior mamu that mishti doesn't count as ghush (bribe).

Most probably I'll be starting to work a bit on Electrochemical Machining(ECM) and mainly on Electrical Discharge Machining(EDM). All these methods are used for making micro holes or micro slots. I may have to learn and work about the control sides of these processes.

Climate
- Deserty , - Rains less , - Not bitter cold, but its cold at night
- Huge amount of orange tree grows here. Even there are some orange trees in our apartment yard. The roads are named as Lemon, Orange blah blah. I live in road name E. Lemon St.
- Lots of different kind of cactus grows here. , - Its raning more now a days, even in winter

Living
- Living is easy anywhere in America , - 1 room Houses rents at 420-500 bucks, Sharing with another room mate will let you have it in around 250. 2 rooms houses with 3/4 person can cost you from 150 to 200 , - You can have food for at most $150-200 , - I think its relatively cheep wrt to American standard , - It costs $3.69(minimum) to have a burger but $1.89 for a gallon of fuel. Its darn cheap wrt American standard.

Cultural Lives
- Lots of bangalis are here , - Americans goes mad at fridays (the weekend) , - You will see "Cultural Colors" with so many kind of people from around the world.
- As it is near the maxican border you will see lots of Mexican (we call them "maksu" :P ) here
- Most outsiders are mainly from 1. China, 2. India , - Para les spaniol, you may have to learn spanish ;)

The City
- Rules are very good , - Very clean. I forgot where I kept my inhaler. I got relieved from my Asthma! , - Cycle and Car is the preferrred transportation here ,

Service
- Each and every service so perfect... , - If Americans sale "ash" for cleaning dish, they will 1. Purify it 2. Make good for hand 3. Present in a presentable package, with some Bar in it 4. Market it 5. Tag a price and reduce the price to attract 6. Sell it. , - They are very good at salesmanship.

Area of Research: Impact of Tolerance on rivet failure and sheet metal assembly in Aircraft Engine. I'm working with few big aircraft company engineers for trying to get some acceptable solution on the based on tolerenceing problem.Those company are CESSNA , Raytheon and Boeing (all r gigantic aircraft manufacturing company, located around my university campus)
Here i need to do finite element analysis , modeling and simulation but still I'm in infant position.... Here also I'm working to find out the effect of tolerencing for crack propagation on Aircraft Wings......... but here also I'm going to start, i know very little in this field ..... that means i have very poor knowledge about my research field, so right now i can't explain more than what i already wrote in before.
